Welcoming Tradition

Projects Welcoming Tradition

By combining strategic layout planning, increased storage solutions, and the integration of original traditional VJ walls and stained timber doors, Ady Interiors has created a harmonious space that embraces the past while embracing the future. With the stunning Federation Style Tile from Tile Cloud as the centerpeice and a touch of brushed nickel tapware, these spaces have been elevated to conversation-worthy havens that will stand the test of time.

Reviving the Dated Bathroom

The starting point of this remarkable project was an extremely dated bathroom, stuck in an era far removed from the clients’ vision. We recognised the amazing opportunity to reimagine this original space and breathe new life into its design.

Maximizing Space and Storage

With the bathroom and laundry being relatively small, optimising the layout was crucial to maximise the available space. The challenge was to strike a balance between functionality and aesthetics, without compromising on the clients’ desire for increased storage.

To achieve this, we carefully selected and customised fixtures and fittings to ensure that every millimetre of the space was utilised efficiently. A healthy dose of white in both spaces coupled with natural light also assisted in creating the open and airy ambiance.

Bright, Inviting & Roomy

With the work completed, the new bathroom and laundry spaces have modernised Michael and Yvette’s home while maintaining an homage to the traditional bones of the property.

Both rooms look significantly less cluttered than before the redesign, allowing for a much more inviting and comfortable feeling. We think Michael & Yvette will spend a lot more time in both the bathroom and laundry now they can feel a little more relaxed in them.

In Michael & Yvette's words...

We are so pleased that we engaged Andrea to design our bathroom and laundry. She came up with a fantastic layout for each space as well as designing the cabinetry. The well thought out modern design suits our old house and both rooms look amazing and work really well for us.

In addition to her design expertise, Andrea's knowledge of which fixtures would work best in our layout was excellent and so helpful. We loved her ideas for paint and tiles, and the left-field idea to polish the concrete floor in the laundry instead of tiling looks spectacular and certainly wows visitors.

Andrea is understanding, patient, and a good listener, and we are thrilled with the final results. We would certainly recommend Andrea to anyone who is contemplating renovating or building.
